A chance meeting a few years back led to me making this incredible trouser suit!
I was so thrilled when I had a call from the world awarded LGBTQIA+ Elvis Act James Haslam. After watching Elberace, a unique blend of Elvis flair and politically charged flamboyance that James brings to the stage within song and comedy, I knew instantly I'd enjoy designing this bespoke outfit!
Not wanting to be the typical Elvis persona, James wanted something a little different to the usual. With his love of colour we sourced this fantastic eye popping orange suiting and by trimming it in the two tone fringing gave Elberace movement and flare to the stage. Tying in flame sequin appliques and Swarovski crystal beading this was no ordinary costume.
Debuting this costume to the Southampton Pride August 2023,was such an electrifying experience! He caused an absolute riot within the crowds with his hip action and lip curling singing!
